SoCo Casual; Business Lunch at Enoteca
I had a late business lunch with my boss, in part to get some face time since I'm home based, and it's the end of the year with things to wrap up, and things to prepare to launch. She was in town today so we met for a late lunch at Enoteca. Being a mass transit person, I took the bus, but instead of changing buses for the seven blocks to the restaurant, I walked. While it's chilly out (by Austin standards), I figured it was a good walk, even with a laptop in tow. We actually arrived at the same time; I was about to cross the street to walk in, as my boss passed by to park. Synchronicity. I hadn't been there before, but I'd heard about it. It's a great little Italian joint with some very good food. I had the Linguine Misto Mare, which was very good. The Carbonara that my boss had looked yummy, too, and the Calamari Fritti we had as appetizer was so good it didn't need any aoili, and was still good cold. It's a bit loud for a business meeting, but it was fine for our meeting. It's on the pricey side, but then it was very high quality stuff. Don't expect to pay mcnugget prices for fresh mussels and shrimp.
So if you're on SoCo and need a place to have a bite, check out Enoteca. It's good stuff.
