Holidaze and Holidailies
This year I'm participating in Holidailies, an annual blogging event for the season. As a participant, I pledge to post every day. I've been trying to post more frequently. The holiday theme will prevail, including those for job seekers.
December is a tough month if you're actively seeking permanent employment. People are too distracted with end of year reporting, finishing up those tasks that needed to be done three months ago, and what to get their boss or team for their holiday gifts. Hiring decisions are usually deferred until January.
If you're not currently working, it's a good time to focus on networking and ground work to hit the ground running January 5th. If you are working, even if you're actively seeking, there are a lot of things you can be doing to better position yourself to take advantage of opportunities in the new year, so don't think it's a time to sit back and sulk.

Interesting re Holidailies, I may look into it ...

The posting starts on the 5th, but be aware that they do cap the number of participants (I can't remember if it's 100-150 or so or not).
