I normally stay away from this stuff, but the story moved me. I'm not a dog owner, but as a pet owner, this is a story I must share. It's positively viral at this point.

Here's the power of social media. A woman's dog was gravely injured by this toy, Four Paws® Rough n Rugged® Pimple Ball with Bell. She asked the company to recall the part, and got the usual runaround.  She blogged about it, and it's taken off like wildfire.  It's so viral, it's all over the net, even snopes, and people are tweeting about it.

Four Paws finally stopped distributing it and has recalled the product

This is a red ball with scattered nubs, or pimples, and a bell inside. The danger is if ruptured, the ball could get lodged in your dog's throat, or even attached to the tongue, like in Chai's Story. My heart goes out for Chai and his human.
