Busy Busy Busy Busy
This week has been so busy, I haven't had time to post. Since Monday was a holiday, I wasn't scheduled to work for my day job. So how do I spend it? Working for my unpaid job, as a board member of LaunchPad. I finished up some paperwork and document drafts. I spent a full day at it.
I find I'm spending a lot of my free time working on LaunchPad projects. There is so much to do, and so much to prepare to allow volunteers to get involved with the projects.

I wasn't working my day job on Wednesday either, as I was attending the 2008 Women's Business Conference put on by the Austin Chapter of the Association of Women in Technology. I attended my first one last year and loved it. This year, most of the breakout sessions I attended were a lot more like the ones at the McComb's conference than last years, but that may just be the ones I attended. They were very good. I really enjoyed the morning Keynote speaker by UT's own Bev Kearney, who re-defines feisty.
So this week I ended up working longer hours and on Saturday. This coming week is going a lot less hectic, but I still have some events to attend, including the monthly chapter meeting for Austin Project Management Institute. I haven't gone to the last two meetings, so I'm overdue.
Oh! I almost forgot! I made contact with Door64, which I heard about no less than four times this past week, so I had to check them out. They are a networking group, and they seem to really know how to network! I've connected with founder Matt Genovese, and I'm confident that LaunchPad and Door64 are starting to build a lasting, robust alliance.
More later!
