PMI Talk: Is your project a success or failure?
I’ve been having a weird week, and today I’ve been doing stupid things. Anyone actively job seeking, remember to CHECK location addresses and make sure you have what need to bring with you. It’s been a bit frustrating, and I KNOW better. But no permanent damage.
I’ve also been lax about updating. Bad Blogger!!
So like every month, I attended the Austin PMI chapter’s meeting. As I’m friends with the Marketing Director, who was an organizer for the Austin PMI Job Fair. She also happened to be a speaker liaision for the evening, and so I had a chance to meet and talk with one of the speakers, Karen Sharp, until recently the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the City of Austin. She’s now with the Human Resources department (not sure of the exact title, I forget). Very personable. We talked about job fairs and all the positions opening up in Austin in the coming weeks. She gave a one hour presentation, “Is your project a success or failure?” which was informative (and interactive!). I wish we had a bigger time slot for it.
