Yesterday I had the good fortune of attending the first Tech Tuesday Breakfast sponsored by AWT. The topic was "Top 10 Ways to Improve Your Website" but it really focused on user experience. Despite some logistics issues, it was well worth the money in more ways than one.

Lynn Pausic, Founder & President of Expero Inc discussed in detail the importance of user experience and exactly why considering it on websites was vital. I learned a few things, and wanted to learn more. It also reinforced quite a few of my own beliefs, such as the importance of getting the actual users involved, as well as consistency in terminology used. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds those insipid generic pictures of stock photo people a waste of space on most websites.

Met a few new people, and saw a few folks I already knew as well. That's not surprising, because it was a standing room only crowd. The room was packed.

The other reason why it was so fortuitous is that they had a drawing among the pre-registered attendees for passes to InnoTech. I'd been waffling about whether or not to attend, but now I don't have to worry about that. If you're going, see you there.
