Friday's Class and LinkedIn Woes

Friday's class on Job Searching barely happened; LinkedIn decided to act up then crash, so we got about a half hour of actual class time in, then another 20 of random discussion before we gave up. It was disappointing, but I've been pushing myself pretty hard the last few weeks, so it meant I could go home earlier and just relax, which was nice.

I was also not happy to see the 'reference check' feature is no longer available to personal account (free) users.  That's just irritating.  It was also the last screen the participants got to see before LinkedIn went belly up for the afternoon (or at least for us). It's been getting unstable lately, and it's down again, now.

I've decided to cancel the upcoming  'intensive' workshop on Saturday because this weekend I was so exhausted.  I realized that if I'm starting a new job, I'm going to need the weekend to rest up, especially as I get used to having to be up early five days a week again.  Not that I've been getting up really late, or consistently late, but it's later than I was when working, and I'm going to have a longer commute to the new office.  I will be rescheduling it, but I don't know when.  I want to get acclimated to my new role first.

Tonight it's off to another PMI Job Fair committee meeting.
