Starting Wednesday, I'll be a contract "Associate Recruiter" at Manpower Professional here in Austin. I was told I get to keep going to Launch Pad Job Club, too.

I think it's a good foot in the door into the field, and because it's contract, not as tight a committment as a permanent position, so if it doesn't end up working out for whatever reason, I won't feel as bad if I need to leave.  And they have that option as well.  I'm not expecting it to, and I was advised that it takes a few months to get up to speed.  This is a good thing. Less pressure while I learn the ropes. 

In the meantime, I'll still be doing job club, and I'm the Job Seeker Liaison Lead for the upcoming Austin PMI Job Fair (in October).
