Teacher, Teacher

So today's sessions went really well (Profiles, then Connections). The only "negatives" were about factors beyond my control. If you thinkt your driving distance was bad, imagine spending four hours in transit round trip to teach it for free.  And we got the computer room for free, so complaining about the equipment isn't very politik. Free, folks!!!

Regardless of the limitations, the workshops were very productive, and we were able to cover all material in the alloted time.   I still need to tweak them some, but one or two more rounds, and I'll be ready to create screencasts.  I am also thinking of ways to improve the experience even with technical challenges.

A good group of folks, and half of them signed up for "Job Searches" after the class. Not too shabby!!

Too bad technical difficulties meant no hand outs were available during class. I'm glad I had the surveys done before hand. Basically I cropped paper down to have half page surveys to save paper, so I just printed those at home.

Among the suggestions were several mentions of creating webinars. I'm definitely looking into that, folks.
