Finally Learning XML

I feel like a slug; I'd intended to start learning XML this winter, before the RIF.  I know basic HTML, and have built some decent webpages with it, but I wanted to learn more.  I've used CSS within RoboHelp to build helpfile pages, but that was using a tool; I did the HTML by hand. I would have liked to do more with Robohelp outside our standard formats, and I was, during downtime, but I don't have the tool at home.  At least now I can get some background in XML.  I want to learn to do at least some simple XML by hand as well, because it helps really learn the material.

I have access to a CBT site called Mindleaders, but unfortunately, the site is a couple generations old.  It ends up opening several windows and search results are not very helpful.  I had to scroll through 1822 hits to get to the four courses on XML that I wanted.  It's basic material, but that's good enough for now.  I had a hella time finding the project management courses I was looking for, and I'm pretty good at using accurate search terms.

Anyway, I've started the course, and it's pretty interesting. Maybe I'll be able to figure out why I can't upload the XML files from an old journal site to the Go Daddy quickblog I have for a movie review site.  We shall see.  I hope.
