I'm now a member of PMI.  I attended an Austin chapter meeting last night, and it was a great group of people.  I felt very much at home there.  The dinner wasn't bad, either.  I'm more and more convinced this was the right move for me.  The presentation I attended was fun and informative.  I forgot to pick up my new-member mug, though. Oh, well.  I'm happy to say that I'll surely be a regular at the meetings. I've also signed up to take a workshop on Tuesday on group problem solving.

I also finished the 2nd draft of my experience documentation. I decided to only use the last five years of experience, as that still gives me more than double the required hours.  I also made sure to remove hours for sick, vacation, and short term disability time to ensure a more accurate indication.  I really wish I could get an ad hoc report of my time at my old company, but I seem to be throwing people off with that.  I loathe having to guestimate!
